> England On The Move
Day 246 - Thu 03 June 19,562km Nottingham Road, SA
With Danny and Sam raring to hit the road northwards to Rustenburg it was gutting to discover both of thier bikes had been battered in transit and would require a lot more expertise to fix than our amateurish efforts. Fortunately the local bike store came to the rescue and we were able to focus our efforts on transforming our bikes into patriotic machines adorned with England flags and stickers - Bertha has never looked so good.
Finally setting off the boys and my stiff Comrades legs had a testing 6 km hill to conquer that was so steep Sam pitched off the back when he tried to stand up and Danny looked on the verge of bursting a vein in his beetroot head. Still with plenty of England support along the way we got to the freezing cold Nottingham Road this evening via the Paraguay football team hotel.
Local Laura has now kindly fixed us up with beds to sleep in for the night (massive thanks to Laura) and introduced us to some local hairdressers that are keen to be let loose on my beard tomorrow morning.
Special thanks to Carol and Fritz for hosting us in Pietermaritzburg and frequently helping us out, we hope your fridge recovers!

Hi Rob Great to 'see' you on
Hi Rob
Great to 'see' you on the road again. Even better is to see that the amount raised for Re-Cycle seems to have passed the target, (if you add up all the boxes on the Just Giving site). That is superb. Very well done and lots of love from us both. Nick and Sarah
