Steady on guys I've got enough wind resistance as it is without having a massive head as well. Thanks for all the touching congrats I really appreciate it, go easy on the praise though I don't want to be encouraged back into the water for similar challenges just yet....
Well done Rob, Chris and I are over joyed you completed the swim - inspirational! And a very entertaining write up, Good luck with the rest of the exciting adventure, Renata and Chris.
What an amazing effort. We were so thrilled to hear the great news via an email relay of your TXT message from your Dad. We were, of course, lying on the beach at the time so feeling very guilty about all the hard work you had just been through.
Best wishes for the trip south.
Cheers
Andrew, Jo, Grace, Charlotte and Nicholas Blakey

ps - top tips in case of shark attack:
Get out of the water ASAP
If you can't, head for the sea floor or hide in reeds
If cornered by a shark, hit it hard on the nose with an object
Avoid using bare hands and feet if possible
Target the gills and eyes which are sensitive
Never, ever 'play dead'
...I might also add luring it off the scent by dropping soreen decoys - what self respecting fish could resist!
Rob, We are following your blog with great interest and much amusement and enormous admiration. I loved your description of the school and can picture hordes of little Spanish children skidding around practising on their 'Berthalitas'!! All good wishes for the swim. We are hoping the wind will drop for you. Love to you and Helen, from Nessa and Piers xx
